For the dough:
100 grams of flour
20 grams of butter
2 tsp sugar
For the rose petals
2 apples (sliced)
3 tsps of honey
1/4 tsps of cinnamon powder
3 tsps of honey
1 1/2 tsps of  butter


Additional things you will need:

Small cupcake liners

A cupcake baking tray

Rolling pin

Pastry brush


Boil a pot of water and add the apple slices. Let them cook for about 30 seconds and remove from the pot immediately. This will help soften the apple and make it easier to roll.

In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour, sugar and 20 grams of butter for the dough. The dough should be a little moist and easy to work. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 3 millimetres, then cut it into 1 inch thick strips. Place the apple slices along one side of the dough (please see the second image). Roll the dough and apple up, then place it into the cupcake liner. Cut off any extra bit of dough if necessary.

Bake the tarts in oven  for 5 minutes at 180*c.

Mix honey, 1 1/2 teaspoons of butter and cinnamon in a pan on medium high. Stir the mixture until it melts. This should take about 1 minute. Remove the pan from the stove and use a brush to lightly coat the tarts when they are out of the oven.
